Texas-Style French Toast

Fluffy Texas French Toast!

French Toast is hands down my number one favorite breakfast food, I could literally eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner – no joke!  Not only is this recipe super easy to make, it can also be made savory (future recipes to be posted!) You can use a multitude of different types of bread to make French toast, including brioche, challah, texas toast and of course French bread.  For this basic French toast recipe, I’ve used Texas Toast, but I’ve also love using French bread as well, whichever the bread you choose to use, you just want to ensure that you cut your slices thick enough so that when soaked it your custard mixture, your bread does not fall apart – preferably you want your slices to be about an inch (1 inch) thick.  Making French Toast couldn’t be any easier:

First you’ll want to make your custard by combining your eggs, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla into a shallow dish
